About this deal

The 200ml chain oil tank has adjustable flow through the pump with metal gears to the automatic chain lube system and has a capacity display window. The proven Makita tool-less chain tensioning and adjustment system is included, while the strong metal spike bumper allows easier cutting. The chain catcher can be removed for fast and efficient machine servicing. The Makita DUC353Z Twin 18v / 36v Brushless motor chainsaw sets new standards for cordless chainsaws and matches the logging performance of similar size petrol powered saws. At the same time this new saw offers the many values of cordless machines which have become recognised throughout the industry: zero emissions; super-quiet operation; total control and high levels of efficiency and safety as standard. The 36v DC motor delivers more power and run time without leaving the 18v Lithium-ion platform. The DUC353 cordless 35cm chainsaw has cutting power comparable to the 30ml class engine chain saw!

Outer Rotor BL Brushless motor direct-drive system delivers 0-20 m/s (0-1,200 m/min) (0-3,940 FPM) chain speed for fast cutting, equivalent to 30 mL class engine chain saw The Makita DUC353 has a variable speed trigger switch, allowing the user to control the power output depending on the task at hand. The saw also has an automatic oiling system that provides lubrication to the chain, reducing wear and tear. You don’t need to use any force at all when using this chainsaw. Just hold it steady and it does all of the hard work for you – it really couldn’t have performed any better than it did. The results it produced were easily comparable to that of a petrol chainsaw. Makita DUC353PT2 35cm / 14" Twin 18v LXT Brushless Chainsaw Inc 2x 5.0Ah Batteries & 1x Twin Port Charger Main power switch with auto power-off function for battery saving and avoiding unintentional start up It’s worth mentioning that this chainsaw will only run when you have two batteries inserted. If you try it with just one, or if you haven’t inserted one of the batteries in correctly, the machine won’t turn on.

The DUC353 Chainsaw from Makita runs on 2 x 18V batteries simultaneously giving effectively 36V of power. Coupled with a brushless motor the DUC353 produces 1100W to the chain which has a 14 Inch cutting width. Sold as a body only machine without battery or charger in a cardboard box. Features: In terms of battery life, I used two 5aH batteries with this chainsaw and it gave me a continuous run time of about half an hour when used at its maximum speed. This may not seem like much when compared to a petrol chainsaw, but it’s not bad for a cordless. The fact that both batteries can be charged at the same time (if you have a double charger), and take less than an hour to reach full charge is a bonus. Cordless for reduced maintenance; no need to change engine oil or spark plug, clean air filter or drain fuel for storage All in all a fantastic product from a fantastic manufacturer and from Terrier tools it was a fantastic price - highly recommended. I have used with two 4 Amp batteries and it runs for a good length of time and makes lots of cuts before it runs down - certainly as much cutting as you could manage with a petrol saw before needing a break. I have also run it on 2 x 6 Amp bought off here and I wore out before they did!The Makita 36v direct-drive Brushless motor has a rated output of 1,100 watt, similar to a 32cc petrol machine, and comes fitted with identical 35cm length bar and a chain speed of 20 metres per second. The hard working Makita DUC353Z will become the chainsaw of choice for many professional arborists and forestry workers. Trials have shown that two fully charged 5.0Ah batteries will deliver over 60 cuts through 5 inch diameter timber, at least seven linear metres of cutting per charge. This product carries a full 3 year manufacturers warranty covering both faulty materials and faulty workmanship, it does not cover general wear and tear or damage, batteries, blades, bulbs and other consumables. In the unlikely event of a fault the item returned is subject to fair wear & tear and must not have been used beyond the scope of it's design. Please note that cordless products will normally have a shorter warranty of just 1 Year for the battery and or charger supplied. Makita has also designed this chainsaw to automatically turn off if you happen to set it down. In my opinion, this is such an important feature – not only does it help you conserve battery power, but it will also prevent accidents.
