About this deal

A strained relationship gets even more awkward when Donna awkwardly discovers that her new boyfriend, Jim, is an old flame of Kit’s, and things get worse when Kit learns Jim is enrolled in the same art program at school. Roland goes on a spree across the world, leaving a trail of blood on his tail and the agency wants him dead. Depressing and distasteful, this comic followed an unlikeable retired spy who acted abominably during his prime and as an old man spent his days drinking and berating his past self for actions he couldn’t change. After a career spent traveling the world and cheating on his now ex-wife, King’s son refuses to speak to him. There’s greed and corruption at every level, untouchable despots he was forbidden to go near and a system he just doesn’t believe in any more.

Perhaps Roland King’s self-loathing in this story is Millar’s own cry for help over where his writing career has taken him. He’s divorced, estranged from his son, forgotten by his country, and worst of all, he has time to sit and think. The plot is, of course, nonsense, but the art and pure wackiness more than make up for any gaps in logical storytelling. Based on long-classified government records, unsealed court records, and interviews in Korea and the U.

Seriously; the art is absolute gold and some of those action sequences had me staring at panels for extended periods of time as I contemplated just exactly how the hell he achieved such visuals. His list is long, with every corrupt head of state, every crooked billionaire, and every predator in high places living in fear as Roland ticks them off the list, one by one. During the golden age of espionage, one man rose to prominence with his style and cunning, pulling off impossible tasks with nothing but a gun and pack of Cobbs in hand.

Even with all its warts, King of Spies TPB ends on a somber note, reminding readers that to err is human and to forgive is not divine but also a liberating experience.

Fans of Kingsman might be surprised to find a more gritty look and feel, but it gives it an edge that separates it from the pack.

With a fine flair for his idea of justice, he's about to put the world to rights when he collapses, and is told he has six months left alive, max.Millar provided the following statement: “We’ve been quietly working on this for a couple of years in-house and we’re all buzzing about it. The way that he draws action also has an undeniable dynamism to it, which works very well in this issue.

After Silva’s unauthorized hacking of the Chinese government during Hong Kong’s transition of sovereignty put MI6 in a spot of diplomatic difficulty, M allows the Chinese to capture her rogue agent in exchange for six other British prisoners. In King of Spies , Britain’s greatest secret agent faces his deadliest enemy yet – his own mortality. We’re really, really excited about this and will release the name of the stellar comic-book artist we’ve hired a little down the line. I hated Wanted, both the film and the comic, despised Nemesis, was bored by Kick-Ass, and felt generally let down by most of his DC work. Bush, Pope Benedict XVI, and Prince Andrew, you'll maybe get a momentary chuckle, but the rest is a tiresome and increasingly ludicrous series of action set pieces duct-taped together with father and son issues straight out of Harry Chapin's "Cat's in the Cradle" song.Crononautas traz homens no melhor estilo bonvivant e playboys, assim como muitos outros títulos de Millar como Nêmesis e MPH que apostam na narrativa dos superricos para vender suas HQs. King was convinced that the work he was doing was to create a better world; a world his son could grow up and be proud of.
