About this deal

Take your other fabric circle and the long rectangle of fabric you cut out earlier. Pin the long side of the rectangle to the curved edge of the circle. When you’ve gone all the way round the circle and the two ends of the rectangle meet, fold the ends outwards (not inwards!). Simply plop yourself down and you’ve got cushioned comfort all around, allowing you to play video games or scroll through your phone for hours on end. Feel protected and secure during your sports- and outdoor activities, when you sit in a normal chair or on any hard surface, or when you play on the ground. Afterwards you can simply put the entire AllRounder O2 in the washing machine to clean it up and make it ready for your next adventure together. Experience the freedom! User testimonials Japan is famous for being a land of convenience, so when you want to stay warm and sit down for extended periods of time, who can be bothered to go to the effort of pulling out a chair and wrapping a blanket around yourself?

According to the company, the product was designed around the idea of a cushion that ruins people, a concept that’s become popular in recent years, where designers seek to provide customers with comfort levels so supreme they won’t ever want to move, leading to their ultimate ruin. With the rectangular piece now sewed onto the circular piece, you’ll be left with a small opening/slit on one side. Line these edges up neatly, pin in place and stitch together. DO NOT stitch the entire slit close – just the very top part, as you can see in my photos. This is because we will use this slit to stuff the pin cushion later on! Take one of your fabric circles and place it face side down on your table. Carefully pin the two ends of your elastic strap to the very centre of the fabric circle. Make sure the ends neatly line up, to form the wrist strap shape.

Regarding where to source the wire wool – I’ve now added a link in the supplies list to a very similar product to the one I used in this project (I can’t find the exact one, as I bought it in a shop, not online). I actually found it pretty easy to stuff into the pin cushion. It needed no manipulation; I just tore off small pieces and stuffed it, as you would with normal toy stuffing. I would recommend wearing gloves and a safety mask when when doing this though, as I’ve mentioned in the post. I found that it created a bit of dust, which is not good to be inhaling. However, once it’s contained within the pin cushion, it should be fine (I’ve used mine 5-6 times now with no problems). I hope this helps! Thanks again for pointing this out 🙂 – Mike. Reply Hi Cheryl! Thanks for pointing this out. The toy stuffing was an error on my part. I had originally planned to use a blend of toy stuffing/wadding and wire wool, but I ended up only using the wire wool. My bad! I’ve deleted that from the supplies list now. In this day and age, there should be a way for all these things to be done in one swift movement, and that’s exactly what’s now possible, thanks to a new product called the “ Wearable Beanbag“. This DIY wrist pincushion post is sponsored by Singer, as part of my brand ambassadorship with them. However, all words and opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that keep me blogging! Wrap the your elastic strap once around your wrist, making sure it’s slightly stretched. You want it to be tight enough to stay secure, but not so tight that it cuts off the circulation to your hand! When it’s comfortable, make a mark at the point that the elastic ends overlap. This will give you an idea of how long it needs to be. Cut the elastic at the mark you made, so you’re left with a short elastic strap. This concept was born out of the idea of a cushion that would allow you to totally let go, any time, anywhere. You can put this on and chill out in your living room, or loads of other places, that’s why we created it,” Takikou’s Shogo Takikawa said. Stuff the wrist pincushion with wire wool. I’d definitely recommend wearing a safety mask and gloves here, as the wire wool creates a lot of dust that you do not want to be inhaling. If you can do this step outside, that’s even better. While the product was introduced to the market earlier this year, it remained under the radar until a recent tweet sent it viral, leading it to be featured on morning TV programs, where people fell in love with the genius idea.

Available in three different sizes and various colors, the wearable beanbag is easy to get in and out of, making it ideal for use virtually anytime, anywhere. One thing you need to keep in mind is that the adult version weighs around 5 kilograms (11 pounds), so it’s a bit heavier than your regular garments. When it comes to pin cushions, it’s what’s on the inside that counts the most. The filling, after all, is what keeps pins in place, keeps the cushion steady, and can even keep pins clean and sharp. The most common pin cushion filling is polyester, as it is pliable enough to place and remove pins without much issue, yet structured enough to secure them. It is, however, a lighter material, so it may cause your pin cushion to slip or fall off the table easily. What do you think? Would you like to make your own DIY wrist pincushion? Let me know in the comments below! – Mike. The Wearable Beanbag comes in three sizes so parents and children can swap their matching pyjamas for matching beanbags instead. Is it weird that I’m kinda obsessed with my new DIY wrist pincushion? It’s very satisfying to wear… it makes me feel like a professional haha! I especially love that the wire wool will help keep my pins sharp, so they’ll last much longer. And I’ve finally got a solution to my messy sewing desk problem! Win-win! 🙂

Japanese company Hanalolo has introduced a wearable bean bag pillow, so you can be your own cozy spot wherever you are.

Using your sewing machine, sew the elastic to the fabric circle (remove the pins as you go). I used my Singer 7285Q Patchwork for this, which has the option for zig-zag stitches. This is perfect for sewing elastic, as the zig-zag stitch will stretch with the elastic – meaning it won’t snap if you over-stretch it. The activity cushion Vicair AllRounder O2 is available in three sizes: small, medium and large and has an average weight of only 800 grams.
